meet
yuval

a web developer who has
worn many hats

you could say he
has vision

ok, that was a bit over the top.
But it brings up a good point:
who is yuval?
Yuval Allweil is an autodidact whose curiosity knows no bounds. This curiosity has taken him to the other side of the world, and not just once or twice. This unbridled passion has led him directly into the laboratories of some of today's most brilliant scientists, to distill their work for a more popular audience.
His interviews with visionary thinkers like Dr. Judea Pearl and Nir Eyal have headlined Specimen Magazine, and his short fiction has been published in several anthologies.
He has served on the management teams of several startups, from a record-breaking e-commerce outfit to a nationally-acclaimed science magazine.
Yuval loves helping others, and firmly believes that you won't get ahead without helping those around you. He is a dedicated teacher whose training programs and workshops have been professionally recognized, and continues to tutor students in all aspects of software development.
Yuval is currently a Technical Lead and Senior Front End Developer for Kroger. Check out Alchemy Code Lab's interview with him to see why he loves what he does.

made a
psychedelic drumkit

Put on your favorite song and have some fun playing this digital drumkit!
The Psychedelic Drumkit is built in pure, unadulterated HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
I wanted to step back from the world of libraries and frameworks, get more experience with CSS animation, and see what I could do with just vanilla JavaScript and the DOM.
created a
reading app

Bookify is a tool to manage the books in your life.
It is written in JavaScript, HTML, and Sass. Its tech stack is comprised of React for the view, Redux for state management, the Google Books API for search, react-sortable-hoc for drag-n-drop, and the HTML5 Local Storage API for persistence. It uses Jest for testing and was developed in Node.
and turned the collatz conjecture into a
melody machine

The Collatz Conjecture is one of the biggest unsolved problems in mathematics.
This is a tool I created to help people better understand it by providing an audio/visual representation of each sequence.
It is written in HTML, CSS, and JS, and was developed in Node. It is built in React and Styled Components, uses Chart.js for the graph, and uses the Audio Context API to create the melodies.
someone who is
always learning

Yuval is first and foremost an autodidact, and loves taking a good course just as much as reading a good book.
